Nan Hua Art Exhibition

Bright, quirky, happy, and extremely sticky, the art exhibition is once again back at Nan Hua High School. This collection showcases a whole year collation of art at its idiosyncratic best. Quirky and glossed over with a contemporary sophistication, the art works are filled with sugar-coated optimism and fired-up enthusiasm that is in keeping with the attitude.

Through strokes of great artists of Post Expressionist, we are show casing copy painting of Van Gogh and Gauguin's works, earthen vessels that were meticulously crafted and glazed and Chinese calligraphy by our young artist.

Tint & Shade

This assignment requires you to print the worksheet on a drawing paper. If you have an A3 drawing paper just cut it into half - and there you have it an A4. The brushes required for all our next lesson is the sable brushes. You must have a set of Acrylic paint for this term, you can get any brand but must consist of 5 basic compulsory colour - Red, Blue, Yellow, White & Black.

Tint = A hue (colour) + white
Shade = A hue (colour) + black

You can refer to the video clip & see how this is done. This assignment must be completed by the next lesson.

Sec 1 Colour Wheel Assignment

Motifs Colour Wheel
Due Week 2, Term 2

The assignment is to be done on an A3 drawing paper.
The MOTIF colour wheel should be drawn on the left half of the A3 and your reflection on the other portion.
Write a short reflection between 70 to 100 words on this task.
Did you find any difficulty doing the assignment? If yes/ no, why?
What is the idea behind your masterpiece?

Sec 1 March Assignement

Print the boat image in color,
use the guide to create a 'copy painting'
on an A4 drawing paper.

REDraw the image with pencil and
color it (color pencils).

Marking is based on accuracy, control of
color, shading quality and rendering.

On a new piece of A4, write a short
reflection on the assignment, example:

Did you find it difficult to complete the task?
If yes or no, why?
How could you have done it better to
improve the 'copy painting'?

Stapled the two pieces of paper, with your name, class
register number and pass it to the class chair person.
All submission must reach the teacher's locker by
Monday 22nd March.
